Anipryl (selegiline hydrochloride, L-deprenyl hydrochloride) is an oral selective monoamine oxidase type B (MAO-B) inhibitor indicated for the control of clinical signs associated with canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CDS) and the control of clinical signs associated with uncomplicated canine pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH / Cushing's disease).

Contraindicated in dogs with known hypersensitivity to selegiline hydrochloride.
Do not use concurrently with meperidine, tramadol, other opioids, SSRIs, tricyclic antidepressants, or amitraz.
Allow at least 14 days washout period after discontinuation of fluoxetine or tricyclic antidepressants before starting Anipryl. Concurrent use with alpha-2 agonists requires careful monitoring.
Vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, agitation, anorexia, lethargy, or salivation.
