Package Size Chewable tablets in 62.5 mg, 125 mg, 250 mg, and 375 mg (foil strips of 14, boxes of 280); Clavamox drops in 15 mL bottles (62.5 mg/mL)
Storage Conditions Store tablets at controlled room temperature 20°C to 25°C. Keep foil strips dry. Reconstituted drops must be refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C and discarded after 10 days.
Dosages

Dog

  • 13.75 mg/kg (6.25 mg/lb) body weight twice daily (Oral (PO)) — Twice daily for 7 to 14 days, up to 30 days for deep pyoderma

Cat

  • 62.5 mg (1 mL drops or one 62.5 mg tablet) twice daily (Oral (PO)) — Twice daily for 7 to 14 days
Withdrawal Periods —
Indications
  • Treatment of canine skin and soft tissue infections such as wounds, abscesses, cellulitis, and superficial/deep pyoderma.
  • Treatment of feline skin and soft tissue infections such as wounds, abscesses, and cellulitis/dermatitis.
  • Treatment of canine and feline periodontal infections.
  • Treatment of urinary tract infections in cats caused by susceptible E. coli.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in dogs or cats with a history of allergic reactions to penicillins or cephalosporins.
Precautions
  • Safety in breeding, pregnant, or lactating animals has not been established.
Side Effects
  • Occasional mild gastrointestinal signs including vomiting, loose stools, or decreased appetite.
