  • Two intramuscular injections of 6.6 mg ceftiofur equivalents/kg (3.0 mg/lb) BW (1.5 mL per 45 kg / 100 lbs BW) administered 4 days apart (Intramuscular (IM)) — Two doses 4 days apart (Day 0 and Day 4)

Indications
  • Treatment of lower respiratory tract infections in horses caused by susceptible strains of Streptococcus equi subspecies zooepidemicus.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in horses with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or beta-lactams.
  • Do not administer intravenously.
Precautions
  • Administration of antimicrobials to horses under stress may result in acute antibiotic-associated diarrhea/colitis; monitor closely.
Side Effects
  • Injection site swelling, stiffness, and local soreness are commonly reported.
