Dosages

Dog

  • Mix one 10.6 mL bottle with 2 gallons (7.6 L) of lukewarm water (yielding approx. 250 ppm active amitraz) (Topical sponge-on dip) — Apply every 14 days for a total of 3 to 6 treatments until skin scrapings are negative

Indications
  • Treatment of generalized demodicosis (Demodex canis) in dogs.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in dogs suffering from deep open pyoderma without concurrent antibiotic therapy.
  • Do not use on Toy dog breeds or dogs under 4 months of age without veterinary supervision.
  • Contraindicated in cats and horses.
Precautions
  • Sedation and transient hypothermia may occur; keep treated dogs warm and dry.
Side Effects
  • Sedation, depression, pruritus, transient bradycardia, or hyperglycemia.
