Early Bale Plus is an advanced buffered propionic acid preservative formulated specifically for baling hay at higher moisture levels (up to 30% moisture) without risk of internal bale heating, mold growth, or spontaneous combustion. Buffered with ammonium hydroxide to a near-neutral pH (5.9 – 6.0), Early Bale Plus is non-corrosive to baling equipment and safe for both ruminant and equine feeding. It allows farmers to bale hay earlier in the day or season, mitigating rain damage, retaining more protein-rich green leaves, and producing superior quality, dust-free forage.
