Poulvac Procerta HVT-IBD is a frozen, cell-associated recombinant vector vaccine containing a serotype 3 turkey herpesvirus (HVT) expressing the VP2 protective gene of Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (IBDV). Effective for vaccination of 18- to 19-day-old embryonated chicken eggs (in ovo) or healthy 1-day-old chicks against standard IBDV and Marek's disease. Duration of immunity is at least 63 days.

Indications

  • Aid in the prevention of Marek's disease and infectious bursal disease (Gumboro) in healthy chickens.

  • Effective duration of immunity of at least 63 days against standard IBDV.

Contraindications

  • Do not use if ampoule has thawed prior to planned reconstitution.

Precautions

  • Operators must wear safety glasses and cryogenic protective gloves when handling liquid nitrogen.

  • Use within 2 hours of dilution.

Side Effects

  • None observed under proper in ovo or subcutaneous administration.
