Telazol is an injectable non-narcotic, non-barbiturate anesthetic combination of tiletamine hydrochloride (a dissociative anesthetic) and zolazepam hydrochloride (a benzodiazepine tranquilizer) in equal parts by weight. Supplied as sterile powder, reconstituted with 5 mL sterile water to yield 100 mg total active drug per mL (50 mg tiletamine + 50 mg zolazepam). Indicated for restraint and minor surgical procedures in dogs and cats.

Protective ocular reflexes persist; apply bland ophthalmic ointment to eyes to prevent corneal desiccation.
