Treatment of intestinal coccidiosis caused by Eimeria spp. susceptible to amprolium in chickens, turkeys, ducks and guinea fowls.

Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to amprolium or any of the excipients.

Frequent and repeated use of an antiprotozoal of the same class can lead to development of resistance; where resistance is present, another antiprotozoal class or mechanism should be considered. The product is not intended for preventive use and should be reserved for diagnosed coccidiosis outbreaks under the conditions stated in the product information. Its efficacy may be reduced by simultaneous administration of products containing vitamin B-complex.

No adverse events were known in the cited veterinary SPC for chickens, turkeys, ducks and guinea fowls. At high doses, adverse effects are related to thiamine deficiency.
