In cattle, sheep and goats: treatment of ruminal atony and intestinal atony. In horses: treatment of intestinal atony and bladder atony.
موانع الاستخدام
Do not use in cases of mechanical gastrointestinal or urinary tract obstruction, peritonitis, or uncertain viability of the intestinal wall. Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to neostigmine or any excipients. In horses, do not use in proximal disorders of the enteral tract. Do not use during pregnancy or lactation.
الاحتياطات
Animals should be monitored for cholinergic effects because adverse effects are dose-dependent. Use with caution in bronchial asthma, cardiac arrhythmia because of the risk of bradycardia, and gastroduodenal ulcer because gastric secretions may increase.
الآثار الجانبية
Adverse effects are dose-dependent and associated with excessive cholinergic stimulation. At therapeutic doses, adverse effects are rare. In overdose, weakness, vomiting, colic, diarrhoea, miosis, dyspnoea, bradycardia, hypotension and bronchospasm may occur; death may result from respiratory failure.
