Turkey coryza (bordetellosis) is a highly contagious upper respiratory disease primarily affecting young turkeys and caused by Bordetella avium. The disease is characterized by sudden onset, colonization of ciliated epithelium, respiratory signs, submandibular edema, tracheal collapse, and stunted growth.
