Storage Conditions Store at controlled room temperature 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Controlled substance (Schedule III). Use within 56 days of first vial puncture.
Dosages

Cat

  • 0.24 mg/kg (0.13 mL/kg) body weight (Subcutaneous (SC)) — Once daily (every 24 hours) for up to 3 days

Indications
  • Control of postoperative pain associated with surgical procedures (such as ovariohysterectomy, castration, and soft tissue procedures) in cats.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in cats with known hypersensitivity to buprenorphine.
  • Do not use in cats with severe respiratory depression or traumatic brain injury.
Precautions
  • Opioids may produce respiratory depression, sedation, and mild hypothermia.
  • Use with caution in debilitated cats or those with hepatic, renal, or pulmonary impairment.
  • Safety has not been evaluated in cats younger than 4 months of age or in breeding, pregnant, or lactating cats.
Side Effects
  • Sedation, dysphoria, mydriasis, decreased appetite, hypothermia, or mild transient bradycardia.
