Storage Conditions Store at controlled room temperature 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Shake well before using. Avoid freezing.
Dosages

Horse

  • Usual initial dose is 200 mg (range 40 to 240 mg) intra-articular or intramuscular (Intra-articular or Intramuscular (IM)) — Repeated at intervals depending on clinical response

Dog

  • Average dose is 20 mg (1 to 2 mg/kg) IM; range 2 to 40 mg (Intramuscular (IM) or Subcutaneous) — Weekly or as needed based on condition

Cat

  • Average dose is 10 to 20 mg (range 1 to 2 mg/kg) IM (Intramuscular (IM)) — Every 1 to 3 weeks as needed

Indications
  • Alleviation of pain and lameness associated with localized arthritic conditions and generalized osteoarthritis in horses.
  • Treatment of allergic and inflammatory dermatoses, arthritic conditions, and otitis externa in dogs and cats.
  • Management of feline asthma and eosinophilic granuloma complex in cats.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in horses with acute infectious arthritis, septic conditions, or systemic fungal infections.
  • Do not administer intravenously.
Precautions
  • Glucocorticoid administration in horses carries risk of laminitis.
  • Long-term systemic use may lead to hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression, polyuria, polydipsia, and iatrogenic Cushingoid signs.
  • Ensure strict aseptic technique when performing intra-articular injections.
Side Effects
  • Polyuria, polydipsia, increased appetite, weight gain, transient muscle weakness, and risk of laminitis in equines.
