Storage Conditions Store in a dry place at room temperature below 30°C (86°F). Keep boluses in original blister packaging until immediately before use.

  • 1 bolus orally at the first signs of calving, followed by a second bolus 12 to 24 hours after calving (Oral (using an approved Bovicalc bolus applicator)) — 2 boluses per calving protocol

Indications
  • Oral calcium supplement for fresh dairy cows at and immediately following calving to maintain normal serum calcium levels and prevent subclinical and clinical hypocalcemia (milk fever).
Contraindications
  • Do not administer to cows with signs of milk fever that cannot stand (downer cows), as swallowing reflex may be impaired.
Precautions
  • Administer only with a proper Bovicalc applicator. Do not use broken or damaged boluses.
Side Effects
  • None reported when administered properly with the designated applicator.
