Dosages

Horse

  • 1.2 mg pyrantel tartrate per lb of body weight daily (0.5 oz of Strongid C 2X per 500 lb body weight) (Oral (top-dressed on or mixed into daily feed ration)) — Administer continuously on a daily basis

Indications
  • Continuous daily deworming for prevention of Strongylus vulgaris larval migration, control of adult large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworms, and roundworms in horses.
Contraindications
  • Not for use in horses intended for human consumption.
Precautions
  • Consult a veterinarian before administering to severely debilitated animals. Keep out of reach of children.
Side Effects
  • Extremely well tolerated at recommended daily dosage; occasional mild transient softening of feces.
