Ecocool Silage Inoculant

Ecocool Silage Inoculant (encompassing Ecocool and Ecocool Grain) is a dual-action biological inoculant specifically formulated to eliminate aerobic heating and spoilage in crops vulnerable to secondary fermentation, including maize, wholecrop cereal silages, high dry matter grasses, and crimped or high-moisture grains. Combining homofermentative Lactobacillus plantarum strain MTD/1 for rapid initial acidification and heterofermentative Lactobacillus buchneri strain PJB/1 for controlled acetic acid synthesis, Ecocool suppresses wild yeasts and molds, extending aerobic stability of the silage clamp face and feed bunk by several days.
