Glanvac 6 is an advanced multivalent vaccine providing protection against cheesy gland (caseous lymphadenitis or CLA, caused by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis) and 5 major clostridial diseases: pulpy kidney (enterotoxemia), tetanus, black disease, blackleg, and malignant oedema in sheep and goats.

Indications

  • Active immunization of sheep and goats against Caseous Lymphadenitis (cheesy gland, CLA) caused by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis.

  • Protection against enterotoxemia (pulpy kidney), tetanus, black disease, blackleg, and malignant oedema caused by Clostridium species.

Contraindications

  • Do not vaccinate emaciated, heavily parasitized, or feverish animals.

Precautions

  • Maintain strict hygiene of injection equipment. Ensure injection is subcutaneous and not intramuscular.

Side Effects

  • A small lump or nodule at the injection site is common and persists for a few weeks.
