Leukocell 2 is an inactivated feline leukemia virus (FeLV) vaccine prepared from cell-free culture fluids of transformed lymphoid cells, containing gp70 envelope antigens, p15E, and FOCMA (feline oncornavirus-associated cell membrane antigen). Indicated for vaccination of healthy cats 9 weeks of age or older as an aid in preventing persistent FeLV viremia, lymphoid tumors, and mortality caused by feline leukemia virus.

Indications

Contraindications

Cats should be tested for FeLV antigen prior to vaccination; vaccination of viremic cats is not beneficial.
Precautions

Anaphylactic reactions may occur; administer epinephrine immediately if required.
Side Effects

Transient local swelling or granuloma at the injection site, transient pyrexia.
