Do not use in dogs with a history of liver disease or preexisting respiratory depression.
Do not use for the treatment of productive cough, as suppression of the cough reflex can cause mucus accumulation.
Use with caution in animals being treated with other central nervous system depressants.
Mild sedation, transient ataxia, anorexia, or slight constipation.
