Vanguard B Intranasal (0.5 mL) is an avirulent live culture vaccine of Bordetella bronchiseptica for intranasal administration to healthy dogs and puppies 3 weeks of age or older. Indicated as an aid in preventing canine infectious tracheobronchitis (kennel cough) caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica.

Indications

Active immunization of healthy dogs and puppies 3 weeks of age or older as an aid in preventing canine infectious tracheobronchitis (kennel cough) caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica.
Contraindications
-
NEVER inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly (injection of live intranasal vaccine causes severe hepatic necrosis and cellulitis).

Do not use in dogs undergoing antibiotic therapy effective against Bordetella.
Precautions

For intranasal use only. Rapid onset of mucosal immunity provides protection within 48 to 72 hours.
Side Effects
-
Transient sneezing, coughing, or mild nasal discharge in a small percentage of vaccinated puppies.
