StayBred VL5 is an aluminum-hydroxide-adjuvanted bacterin prepared from chemically inactivated cultures of Campylobacter fetus and Leptospira canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. hardjo, L. icterohaemorrhagiae, and L. pomona. Formulated specifically as an aid in the prevention of infertility, embryonic death, and abortion caused by bovine vibriosis and leptospiral infection.

Indications

Vaccination of healthy beef and dairy cows and heifers as an aid in preventing bovine vibriosis caused by Campylobacter fetus and leptospirosis caused by 5 Leptospira serovars.
Contraindications

Do not vaccinate diseased or stressed cattle.
Precautions

Contains thimerosal as preservative. Anaphylaxis may occur; treat promptly with epinephrine.
Side Effects

Transient localized swelling at the injection site.
